Areas of practice

General outpatient neurology

In his general neurology clinics he sees patients with a variety of conditions including headaches, dizziness and unsteadiness, Parkinson’s disease and seizures.

Acute neurology

He provides cares for acute neurological emergencies at his district hospital and at Kings College Hospital, where he is part of the acute on-call rota. He has worked closely with colleagues in intensive care units assessing critically ill patients. He provided input into the stroke unit at his district hospital with a weekly round assessing complicated cases.

Palliative care

He is the Neurologist on the National Council for Palliative Care’s working group on neurological conditions, has been invited to the European Federation of Neurological Societies Working group on palliative care.

High altitude

He is also interested in the neurological problems, including headaches that occur at high altitudes.

Teaching & training

He has been nominated for teaching awards by his medical students. He co-supervises doctoral students and was on the specialist question group for the MRCP exam.
